Sending a friend back to war

I receiced a call from my friend asking me to get a ticket back to his base. It took his grandmother dying for the military to send him home for 11 days. He has been away for 2 years and his leave request were always refused. As got his ticket all I could do was cry but I could not let him see the sadness it would not help the situation. He will be leaving tomorrow and I am so scared for him and his family. I support the troops but I have my doubts as what we are trying to do there. I know what the newspeople say and what Bush says but after listening to the stories of my friend I believe him. He is in charge of young people you can barely read and write and his support for the powers that be are shaken everytime the equipment he needs is not there due to money issues. When he came to pick up the ticket he smile and said everything will be ok and I was not to worry as he hugged me all I could think was please let him come home safe let them all come home safe.
