there seems to be a certain brand of man that talks of love and deeper connections, "making love" but it turns out it really is just about the sex. i think they get an added sexual kick out of getting a woman to believe the sweet talk. i think maybe they like it because when we women let down our guard, when we do believe love is possible, we are more enthusiastic. not everybody, but enough that their are enough men that play out this pattern that it seemed quite familiar to me...
