Do they still hang you for treason

Well I got to work today and I looked at my office email. There is a email from our great and wonderful leader not manager but leader. (God only knows that we need a good manager not a lousy leader) So as I read on I notice that this email is dated and timed from Friday at 4:07pm (funny how our leader sends email out just as their leaving on a Friday afternoon) as I read I find out one of my new duties will be making sure our locker room is clean and tidy now I find this a problem since I don't even spend time in the locker room plus I work with a bunch of messy, sloppy people who do not clean up after themselves. To make matters worse there is a check list sheet that I have to fill out daily saying that I did clean up everyone mess.

I thought before I go off the deep end I would try to have a civil conversation with my leader but low and behold my great and wonderful leader will not be in the office Monday. So yet my great and wonderful leader drops a bomb and runs away.

If you are going to be a leader instead of a manager then you better know how to lead a group of people because if you don't know how to lead there will be someone charged with treason.

I guess you can say I am the head rebel of the mission to overthrow our present regime. So watch for my hanging in the public square.

Wishing I was somewhere else Wednesdays

I have been told that I do not post enough and I should post about things I know about. Well the only thing I know about is travel since I have been a travel agent for 16 years. I have decide to start Wishing I was somewhere else Wednesdays.

My 1 st somewhere else is Bermuda. I have been there once and fell in love with it.

Here is some information that I have learned about Bermuda.

Bermuda is located in the North Atlantic Ocean roughly 580 nautical miles (1074 kilometers) east-southeast of Cape Hatteras on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There are two incorporated municipalities in Bermuda; the City of Hamilton, and the Town of St. George. There are also a number of localities which are sometimes termed villages, among them Flatts Village, Tucker's Town and Somerset Village.
Contrary to common misconception, Bermuda is not located within the tropics. The subtropical, or warm temperate, climate is influenced by the Gulf Stream. Bermuda has a very humid climate and, as a result, the summer-time heat index can be very high, even when the actual temperature seems moderate. Winters can get decidedly chilly, and the powerful winds and heavy rain mean that the felt temperature can fall below freezing, even though the actual temperature may rarely drop much below 10° C. There are no sources of fresh water in Bermuda; all water has to be collected from rainfall and kept in cisterns

Bermuda was discovered by the early 1500s, probably in 1503, according to some sources. It was certainly known by 1511, when Peter Martyr published his Legatio Babylonica, which mentioned Bermuda and the island was also included on Spanish charts of this year. The discovery is attributed to a Spanish explorer, Juan de Bermudez. Both Spanish and Portuguese ships used the islands as a replenishment spot for fresh meat and water, but legends of spirits and devils, now thought to have stemmed only from the callings of raucous birds (most likely the Bermuda Petrel), and of perpetual, storm-wracked conditions (most early visitors arrived under such conditions), kept them from attempting any permanent settlement on the Isle of Devils.
Bermudez and Gonzales Ferdinando d'Oviedo ventured to Bermuda in 1514 or 1515 with the intention to drop off a breeding stock of hogs on the island as a future stock of fresh meat for passing ships. The inclement weather prevented them landing however.

For the next century the island was probably visited frequently but not settled. The first two British colonies in Virginia had failed, and a more determined effort was initiated by King James I of England, who granted a Royal Charter to The Virginia Company. In 1609, a flotilla of ships, left England under the Company's Admiral, Sir George Somers, to relieve the colony of Jamestown, settled two years before. Somers had previous experience sailing with both Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh. The flotilla was broken up by a storm, and the flagship, the Sea Venture, was wrecked off Bermuda (as depicted on the territory's Coat of Arms), leaving the survivors in possession of a new territory. (William Shakespeare's play The Tempest may have been influenced by William Strachey's account of this shipwreck.) The island was claimed for the English Crown, and the charter of the Virginia Company was extended to include it. In 1615, the island was passed to a new company, the Somers Isles Company (The Somers Isles remains an official name for the Colony), formed by the same shareholders.
Most of the survivors of the Sea Venture had carried on to Jamestown in 1610 aboard two Bermuda-built ships. Among these was John Rolfe, who left a wife and child buried in Bermuda, but would marry a Powhatan princess, Pocahontas, in Jamestown. Rolfe was also single-handedly responsible for beginning Virginia's tobacco industry (the economic basis of the Colony had been intended to be lumber).

There are manyactivitiess that you can do like water sports, sightseeing, shopping or just relax on the beach. Bermuda is a golfers heaven their are several golf courses that you can play.

There are many hotels that you can choose from ranging from bed and breakfast to 5 star resorts, but the best value for your money is a cruise to Bermuda. The ship serves as your hotel and your meals are included.

Sunday was movie day

On Sunday I went and saw Lady in the Water. It was a nice little film. There were bits of humor in this film that seen that I was the only one who got it.

The movie is base on an Asian bedtime story that seem to be happening for real. I am pretty good at knowing how a movie is going to end but there are twists in the movie that I did not see coming and that always makes me feel like my $5.00 was not a waste.

So if you go to this movie go with an open mind and enjoy.

I wish I was more like Polt

Tonight Polt and I went out for dinner. We went to Ryan's which is a buffet and it was steak night. Plus it was also eye candy night so needless to say Polt was in all his glory.

Since I work 3p - 11p I hardly ever get to see Polt and that is a sad thing because when I had a normal job I got to see him all the time. I miss the evenings of watching tv and movies with him.

I will admit when I met Polt I was a bit of a wall flower never going out with a straight men let alone having sex with them. Well Polt tried his hardest to loosen me up and I must say since March 2005 things have been changing for me.

Some people say I have turn in to a slut other people say something has change but they can't figure out what it is.

All I can say is Polt is proud because his work is done... He has shown me what fun is and can be. I thank him for that but now I sometimes feel that I am sluttly than him.

Which I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing....
